ABOUT
Dorota Stumpf
In Dorota’s words,
“ accessories are powerful visual communicators of taste and integrity”. She imaginatively creates unique pieces which are both beautiful and relevant. Her interest in British heritage, using architectural and historical eccentricities, has inspired entire collections using luxury silk to create stunning accessories for both men and women.
As a prolific freelancer, Dorota collaborates with brands to create bespoke designs, appealing to a wide variety of clientele.
Dorota’s talents commanded attention right from the start of her design career. In 2014, two of her leather handbag collections were featured as part of the University’s London Graduate Fashion Week – one of which was preselected for the Mulberry Accessory Designer’s Award for ‘Best Directional Collection’. In 2012 she was shortlisted globally in the New York Independent Handbag Design Awards (IHDA) for her work and, in the same year, won the Traid Remaid for National Upcycling.
Having worked on briefs for Kipling, River Island and Next,
Dorota decided to launch her own luxury Stumpf brand which displays her own characteristic signature style.
More recently her creations, driven by client briefs, have taken her into the realms of textile design for some hugely influential London brands. From ladies fashion to men’s sartorial wear, there are no limits to her abilities when it comes to collaboration and design. She covers a diverse range, from the high street right up to high end exclusive couture labels.
“British fashion is self confident and fearless. It refuses to bow to commerce, thus generating a constant flow of new ideas whilst drawing in British Heritage”
Alexander McQueen
